Extended Synopsis

Set 1,500 years after the events of God Emperor of Dune, the Empire has fallen into spectacular ruin following the death of the tyrant Leto II Atreides. The great Scattering has seen millions abandon the crumbling remnants of civilization, spreading out far beyond the reaches of known space. The legendary planet Arrakis, now referred to as Rakis, has reverted to its harsh desert climate, and its great sandworms are slowly dying out.

Now, the Lost Ones are returning home in a ruthless pursuit of power. As diverse factions vie for control over the fragmented Empire, a young girl named Sheeana rises to prominence in the wastelands. Possessing the mythical abilities of the ancient Fremen Sandriders, she incites a renewed religious fervor across the galaxy, seemingly fulfilling a prophecy foretold by the late God Emperor to guarantee humanity's survival.
