Dr. Whitaker had a very successful medical and surgical practice in the Midwest for many years. He taught Microbiology to nursing students at Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth, Texas, and also worked as a Health Physicist in the Nuclear Physics Department of General Dynamics in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Everything went well until February of 1975, when a sudden illness brought him face-to-face with death and he was given only a few hours to live.

During this crisis, Dr. Whitaker received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was miraculously healed.

After his conversion, Dr. Whitaker's medical philosophy and emphasis expanded from the treatment of illnesses to embrace the comprehensive prevention and treatment of disease.
