Despite its interest in the transitory, Hotel Universo, and poetry more widely, is a place to have come to, but in truth – Never Left.

Chris Brown is a poet, teacher and student living in Newcastle. His poems have appeared in a number of magazines and journals. He edits the poetry chapbook series Slow Loris.

In 2019, he was the inaugural winner of the Karen Thrift Poetry Prize.
