About the Author: Harlan Cleveland

Harlan Cleveland, a Princeton University graduate and Rhodes Scholar, has served as Associate Secretary of State, U.S. Ambassador to NATO, and President of the University of Hawaii.

He is currently Dean of the University of Minnesota Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs. His most widely read book to date is The Future Executive (1972).
