Nelly and his St. Lunatics crew firmly established the St. Louis sound among other influential southern hip hop artists and turned heads with this debut release in 2000. The album Country Grammar introduced the world to Nelly's unique blend of pop-rap and radio-friendly singalongs with a distinctive Missouri twang.

The album boasting four hit singles, showcased Nelly’s versatility and mass appeal. Collaboration with mega talents like Juvenile, Trina, Ludacris, OutKast, Three 6 Mafia & UGK. Where a master recipe for success and universal favor.

The lead single Country Grammar (Hot Shit) reached number 7 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart.

E.I. came second and peaked at number 16 on the Hot 100. Also, number 12 on the UK Singles Chart and number 11 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Ride wit Me came third and garnered even more of a fanbase which was hard to imagine with Nelly’s soaring popularity. The single landed within the top five of the Hot 100 and ARIA Singles Chart. Additionally topping Irish and UK Singles Chart.

Final single Batter Up featured St. Lunatics members Murphy Lee and Ali and achieved moderate chart success.

Country Grammar received widespread acclaim for Nelly's distinctive vocal style and the album's production quality. The album dominated the US Billboard 200 for five consecutive weeks and the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for six weeks.

Internationally peaking in the top five on the New Zealand Albums Chart and Australian Albums Chart. With top ten spots cemented as well on the Canadian and Dutch Albums Chart.

The album was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ) and Music Canada (MC). All accolades a true reflection of its broad appeal and significant sales. Denoting shipments of 45,000 copies and 300,000 copies respectively.
