Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man
By Mary L. Trump, Ph.D.
A revelatory psychological portrait of a family—and a presidency—shaped by dysfunction, cruelty, and ambition. In this #1 New York Times bestseller, clinical psychologist Mary L. Trump draws on her unique insider perspective to expose the toxic dynamics that forged one of the most controversial figures in modern American history: her uncle, Donald J. Trump.
Book Synopsis
Raised in the shadow of her grandparents’ imposing Queens home, Mary Trump witnessed firsthand the emotional neglect, manipulation, and abuse that defined the Trump household. Through vivid storytelling and clinical insight, she unpacks the formative experiences that shaped Donald Trump’s worldview—from his father Fred Sr.’s authoritarian parenting to the family’s obsession with appearances and power. With unsparing detail and unexpected wit, Mary recounts family gatherings, betrayals, and the psychological patterns that continue to ripple through American politics.
